Toothill were not as large a maker as others in the 1960s , and specialised in making sofas and chairs with teak frames and loose cushions rather than fully upholstered pieces . This lovely teak Toothill sofa has been re-webbed , cleaned and re-polished and new foam cushions have been made, which we’ve initially covered in a fire-retardant barrier fabric . The teak is a lovely colour, and the back looks really smart. All in all a great Mid-century design that is unlike anything available new today .
We’ll need 4 metres of your choice of fabric , and then will make zipped covers to order . You can have a buttoned or plain back , and if required we can make cushions in 2 colours , so that they can be reversed for a change . The price covers upholstery costs , but not the fabric .
Just use your imagination as to colour or pattern , one colour or more ( may then need a little more fabric ) .
Materials: teak, fire retardant cloth
