8/10 Seat 1960s Danish rosewood dining table by Randers Mobelfabrik
We loved the fabulous grain on this lovely dining table when we found it in Denmark a while back . The top had a few marks and was faded when we got it , and it got put to one side for restoration ! Eventually the top has been re-polished but as you’ll see it’s still lighter than the leaves which look as if they’ve never been used . We think the contrast looks good , but if you don’t we can look at matching the colour , but it will take time and add to the price .
It’s branded Randers on the frame , and like most Danish dining tables the legs are removeable so its easy to deliver , and can even be stored in pieces when not in use .
The main top is 148cms long and 95cms at its widest , and the leaves add 108cms , so its 256cms extended . Both leaves have to be out at the same time due to the way it extends .
Its a comfortable 6 seater un-extended , and with the leaves out it will easily take 4 down each side comfortably , and then 1 at each end less comfortably if required .
Randers Mobelfabrik used a number of well known designers , the best known being Kurt Ostervig .
