Aksel Kjersgaard oak magazine table Kai Kristiansen ?

Kai Kristiansen designed a lot ( if not all ) of the pieces made by the quality Danish firm of Aksel Kjersgaard in the 1960s and is thought to have been responsible for this known design and the related tables of the same size . This model was mainly made in teak , but its also seen in rosewood and as in this case in light oak which really suits the lovely simple design .

Its a solid oak frame with an oak veneered top , with original brown suede magazine holder  . The oak has been lightly cleaned and re-polished , and the suede is in good vintage condition. All in all a lovely piece by a good maker dating to the 1960s when their pieces were at their best .
