Bjorn Wiinblad of Denmark pair of ceramic candleholders from 1972
Bjorn Wiinblad was a highly prolific ceramic designer who’s style is unique and recognisable . He is best known for designing and making pieces in his own factory , but he also designed for Rosenthal of Germany for larger scale production . These hand-made and hand-painted candleholders are slightly different in size and in the decoration but they were sold together when new in 1972 , and are dated for that year .
As you’ll see there is 1 small glaze chip to the pottery , but otherwise they are in excellent condition and the heart shape make them an ideal gift for a loved one . They were not made in large quantities . They are 10cms at their widest and at deepest and they are 5cms deep .
