Danish late 1950s teak and oak boomerang chair
We’ve searched and searched and couldn’t find this beautiful Danish chair illustrated anywhere . It’s so stylish and unusual and well made that it should be by a known designer and maker !
One part is in light oak and the other in teak , a mix of woods which was used only in the second half of the 1950s by good makers .
We’ve cleaned and oiled the frame and had it re-upholstered . The back panel is all that’s left of the original Danish black and off white wool fabric which on the whole was well worn . We’ve then teamed it with plain complimentary fabrics . We’ve seen the original fabric on a couple of pieces from the late 1950s , and it would be lovely to see it reproduced today as it’s so of it’s time and stylish .
A great feature occasional chair that’s comfortable as well as really unusual .
