G Plan Rosewood Housemaster Chair

This amazing chair is the rarer rosewood veneered version . It was launched in 1970 in teak ( priced from £115 ) and in rosewood ( priced from £135 ) , and was designed by K.M.Wilkins , and not as often said Ib Kofod Larsen . Have a look at our blog about this chair , which gives more detail regarding comparative costs in real terms .

Its currently upholstered in its original bright yellow dralon , which if sold to a UK customer needs to be replaced to meet current UK regulations for upholstery . We’ve seen this model with less foam upholstery which we think enhances the beautiful lines of the wood and metal frame to better effect .

These chairs were very expensive in their day and were not made for long ( particularly with rosewood ) and therefore they are not common .

Our upholsterer can quote for re-upholstery and costs will vary depending on whether you would like the existing shape retained or adapted .
