Jorgen Baekmark for FDB Mobler Danish oak chairs circa 1960.
The oak frames have been cleaned and the seats re-upholstered as the original fabric was well worn. The seat pads have been re covered in a lovely lime green, natural, Camira woven fabric in wool and flax. They’ve got a FDB marked stamped into the frame. Frames are solid and well made.
FDB Mobler are well known as they produced furniture designed by Hans Wegner and Borge Mogensen but this model which is number 82 is designed by the lesser known but successful Danish designer Jorgen Baekmark. It’s shown on the Danish Furniture Design Index as being a pre 1959 design.
They’re 60cm’s wide and 63cm’s high to the top of the arms.
Desk chairs or side chairs they are practical, well proportioned and comfortable.
