Meredew footstool circa 1960.
Lovely, restored footstool manufactured by the British firm Meredew in the 60’s. The top has been newly upholstered in a wool and hemp woven fabric in neutral stone and grey shades. The foam padding on the top of the stool has been reduced in height from the original as it looked overstuffed, which lost the lovely curved shape of the teak frame which was influenced by the Scandinavian designs of the time. Two large wood style buttons finish off the top. Sleek teak, tapered legs finish the stool off nicely.
This footstool could be posted for £17.50.
