Set of 6 Neils Moller Model 75 dining chairs upholstered in Eleanor Pritchard cloth
This set of 6 dining chairs were designed by Niels Moller, dated early to mid 1960’s . The 2 carvers with arms are Model 56 .
The seats have been completely stripped back to the frame and re built. They have new upholstery starting with pirrelli webbing, a base lining, quality foam and finally the top cover is in Eleanor Pritchard, Aerial – Totley cloth. The Eleanor Pritchard cloth is 92% wool, 8% nylon mix, its a great heavy cloth suitable for upholstery in a hot orange with a black and white marl accent. The pattern is inspired by the Totley transmitter mast on Emley Moor in West Yorkshire. The striking orange looks great with the teak and the texture of the fabric will be practical on a dining chair.
This set of 6 Niels Moller dining chairs consists of 4 dining chairs and 2 of the rarer carvers with arms . The breakdown cost for these Mollers in this premium fabric is £550 per carver and £375 per dining chair, we will not split the set .
J.L.Moller are still making chairs in Denmark , but don’t think this model is currently made , and today they are mainly making in oak and cherry . New Moller chairs are more considerably more expensive than vintage ones and we don’t think the woods used now are as nice as the vintage teak from the 1960s .
WE CURRENTLY ALSO HAVE A SET OF 8 WITH ORIGINAL PAPERCORD SEATS .
