Sleek long Robert Heritage Archie Shine teak sideboard
If you’re looking for a really stylish long top quality sideboard that’s different from the run of the mill mid-century models you’ll see then this definitely one to consider. Archie Shine was making by far the best quality British teak sideboards in the 1960’s selling through independent up-market retailers such as Heals of London.
Archie Shine who owned the business was passionate about the quality of pieces his firm sold and in Robert Heritage he was using the top British mid-century designer of domestic furniture of the time. His pieces were never cheap and compare favorably in quality with top Danish makers of the time.
Not the smallest of sideboards but we do have an even longer Archie Shine one that we collected a couple of days before this one arrived from Kent. It’s 228.5cm’s ( 7.5ft ) long , 76cm’s high and deeper than most at 50cm’s so it will store a great amount of stuff! Most sideboards are around 46cms deep.
Although it was in nice vintage condition when we got it, it has been through our restoration process and now is in lovely condition for its age. No obvious marks, scratches or any damage that we can show in a photo remain. We recommend using a non-silicon beeswax spray to keep furniture looking good. Don’t use anything with silicon in it as it’s not recommended for teak, rosewood or antique furniture.
Dimensions: 228.5cm x 50cm, height 76cm.
