Smart 1960s teak desk by Wilhelm Renz of Germany
This lovely quality mid-century teak desk had a few minor marks to the top and was a little faded when we bought it , but after a light clean and teak oil it’s looking fantastic again . It came without a key , so we’ve taken a lock out and our restorer is making a new key . In one of the photos you’ll see lovely original internal fittings to the cupboard , and the lock is absent , but it will soon be back in place !
The shaped legs and the lovely edge detail are a great feature which turn a nice practical desk into a statement piece . It retains its Wilhelm Renz metal disc makers badge and we have photos showing this and other details . One of the nicest teak desks we’ve seen in a while it’s a model that isn’t usually seen outside Germany .
It’s a good size at 150cms x 77cms . The kneehole is 60cms wide giving plenty of space to slot in a desk chair .
Hopefully we’ve shown the open bookshelf to the back in one of the photos , but if not contact us for this and other photos we have as we’re limited to 6 on the website for each listing .
