The S Range designed by John and Sylvia Reid in 1959 for Stag was really radical at the time and was therefore bought in small numbers . A very early use of teak by a British manufacturer as firms like G Plan and McIntosh only used it from c 1962 . Apparently it was withdrawn c 1963 .
We’ve had it cleaned and re-polished as it had quite a few marks to the top after over 50 years of use , and the original black laminate strip was mostly missing , so we’ve had it replaced by a local specialist company . Its now ready for the next 50 or 60 years of its life .
