Launching our new re-configured G Plan Housemaster chair at Battersea Antique + Decorative Fair

The original G Plan Housemaster chair was launched in 1970/71 . It looks really stunning and stylish from the back , but that overheavy 1970s upholstery spoils the look from the front . It’s extremely comfortable , but too 1970s in its approach perhaps .

Our upholsterer has put a lot of time and effort into coming up with a much more stylish pared down look that doesn’t make any sacrifice in terms of comfort . Here is the result of her work . It now looks as smart from the front and sides as it does from the back , and yes it’s still great to sit on for hour after hour after hour !!!

The really good news is we’ve been stocking up on these lovely chairs for quite a while , so we can offer you the chance to have 1 or 2 or more re-upholstered in your choice of fabric . We’ve gone for a masculine look , but you can let your imagination run wild if you want , or match in with your existing décor .

See this lovely chair on the stand of C20C at the Antiques + Decorative Fair in Battersea Park 2nd-7th October 2018 . See it , sit in it , relax in it , then imagine what it’s going to look like in your home perhaps ! If you want free tickets to this most wonderful and eclectic fair let us know and we’ll arrange for e tickets to be sent to you .

Other pieces that will be seen on the stands of C20C and our other friends Tim Smith-Vincent and Sarah Potter will be appearing in a blog nearer the opening date of the Fair so keep an eye out in a couple of weeks .
