Britt-Louise Sundell 1960s ceramic fish plaque Gustavsberg of Sweden
Britt-Louise Sundell ( 1928- 2011 ) worked as a designer for the famous Swedish maker Gustavsberg alongside Stig Lindberg and Lisa Larson in the 1960s and 1970s . It must have been an amazing time as Stig was one of the most important ceramic designers at the time and Lisa also had a worldwide reputation . Not as well known or prolific as these 2 colleagues Britt-Louise came up with some beautiful pieces like this plaque in a lovely red glaze .
It’s 28.5cms in diameter and about 1.25cms in depth . It weighs just under 1.4 kgs , so it should be possible to send as a 2kg parcel once packed .
Stamped Gustavsberg , these pieces sometimes retain the BL Sundell sticky label , but not in this case .
